Optifit offers a comprehensive weight management program that focuses on long-term weight control rather than short-term weight loss. Our program will help you modify your diet, exercise and eating behaviors (without the use of drugs) by offering weekly monitoring, behavior modification, professional one-on-one counseling, education, exercise sessions and long-term maintenance. If you are serious about weight loss or have even thought about having weight loss surgery the Optifit program is just for you
For weight loss to be effective and lasting, one must eat fewer calories and exercise routinely and efficiently. In Optifit, you will make use of nutritionally complete custom formula products for convenient low-calorie, high-protein meals. Your nutritional program will be tailored to meet your pre-measured metabolic demands. During your entire Optifit program you will be under the supportive care and watchful eyes of a board certified metabolic Physician and Registered Dietitian.
At the same time, it is required that you participate in physical training sessions with your own personal trainer. Since you will be engaging in a low calorie diet it is vital that you are recruiting your muscles to grow through exercise or else your body will draw energy from them, resulting in loss of muscle mass. At least 2 times per week you are to engage in training sessions (15-30 min) utilizing resistances training to build and recruit lean body mass and positively alter body composition during rapid weight loss. In addition to your 2 times a week we encourage you to participate in cardio training. (walking, swimming, biking, dancing, etc..)
Behavioral support is an important element for weight loss success and is provided through weekly educational meetings directed by licensed counselors. Meetings are every Wednesday night at 6:00pm in our conference room. The last Wed. of each month our Registered Dietitian meets with our group to review additional nutritional information.
Learning to implement a habit of regular exercise and smart dietary choices is the key to long term weight loss, metabolic balance, and a lifetime of health benefits.
